I was recently taxed with sending two chairs and a table abroad to a cousin who had gone to live abroad for a Gap year. Sounds unusual, but the table and chair was an heirloom and was to be a gift to the family with whom she was staying. She would leave it behind after her year. I had no idea where to turn to send these articles of furniture, so turned to the internet for help.
I was encouraged by the number of Shipping Companies that were available to me – one of which – Alliance Shipping Companies I had already heard of. So, eventually after weighing and supplying information as required, I packed the articles as requested and watched them being loaded into a van. Having recently returned from a gap year travelling the world I thought it would be a great idea to to inspire and help fellow travellers who are toying with the idea of taking a gap year out.
